Trilene Sensation
I had the opportunity to use Sensation all through the 2001 season.
Do I like it? You bet! To put it plain and simple, it handles
better than any of the other so-called super mono lines. On both
baitcast and spinning reels, it really held up to the torture
and punishment I put on fishing line. Its abrasion resistance
and low stretch make it the perfect line for draggin' smallmouth
in clear water. This one's a winner! |

Cardinal Endeur
Without a doubt, this is one of the best spinning reels to come from
Abu Garcia in a long time. It's light, silky smooth and tough
enough to take the abuse of countless hours of tournament fishing
and guiding. A no-nonsense reel that performs as well as reels
that cost twice as much. Need I say more. |

Big Game Lip Grip
This is one neat tool, especially for the pike and musky angler. I
like it because it enables me to handle large fish for hook removal,
without ever having to take the fish from the water. In my boat,
this tool eliminates the need for a gaff or a cradle. It's fool
proof! |

C5 MAG
We are now well into the season and I have put the new C5 MAG to the
test in a big way. The results are in. To put it in perspective,
let's just say this reel is now my reel of choice in the ABU
line of baitcast reels. Never before has a reel in the C series
been as smooth as this one. It casts flawlessly with light, or
heavy lures. And when it comes to pitchin, it's as accurate as
they come. And man, does that green body look cool! |

Fire Line
I'm only going to say this once. If you're not using Fire Line, you're
not fishing! Hey, I know that is a pretty strong statement, but
it's something I believe in. The fact is, I use Fire Line at
least 75% of the time. From jig fishing to spinnerbaits, it's
my line of choice. Why? Sensitivity, and the fact it has virtually
zero stretch is why! Since I started using it, I have never missed
a bite is why! Without it, I doubt I would have won my last two
classics is why! The fact that every touring pro uses it at least
part of the time, even though they are paid by other line companies
and would not admit to it, is why! I could go on, but I think
by now you get the drift. The point is, try it and give it an
honest shot. After you have used it for a while, go back to monofilament.
I bet within a few casts you will reach for the Fire Line and
never look at line the same again. |

Shadowear
This company out of Niagra Falls, Ontario not only makes some of the
most awesome camo gear for bowhunters, it also manufactures one
of the finest rain suits I have ever worn. In fact, I used one
for the entire 2001 season and I'm using it now in 2002. The
truth be known, it has performed better than suits I have had
in the past that cost twice as much. It is designed for bowhunters.
If you're looking for rain gear, ask for Shadowear! |
